The annual workshop for new academic staff association presidents and presidents-elect will take place June 1–2, 2018, at the Marriott Ottawa Hotel. New academic staff association presidents and presidents-elect, as well as any second-year presidents who were unable to attend last year’s workshop, are eligible to attend.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the role and responsibilities of academic staff association presidents and their relationships with their members, executive, and committees; examine ways to build stronger associations and engage members; and, provide an occasion to meet and build a network among colleagues who are new presidents or presidents-elect of other associations.
The Workshop will be conducted in English; there will be no simultaneous translation.
Delegates are required to make their own hotel reservations. It is imperative that reservations be made no later than the May 1st cut-off date.
