The theme of this year’s forum is discipline cases. The reputation and career-destroying potential of a termination or suspension, or even a reprimand – combined with the necessity of ensuring due process and a just outcome – make representation on discipline matters a key skill for grievance officers.
Through presentations, plenary discussions and small group sessions, the 2017 CAUT Forum for Senior Grievance Officers will explore discipline-related best practice collective agreement language, recent jurisprudence, investigation processes, and the issue of discipline arising from anti-discrimination and harassment policies. Please join us in Ottawa with colleagues from across Canada at this important event.
This is a specialized event directed at member association senior grievance officers. CAUT will cover the cost of transportation to Ottawa for one senior grievance officer from each association on the same basis as assistance is provided for delegates to Council. Space permitting, an association may send one additional senior grievance officer. The association will be responsible for the full costs of that additional person.
The agenda is fully charged with great sessions, click on the link for more information.
Registration for the Conference is available on-line only.
